Chapter 1: Here we go, Chunin Exams!

     I glanced at all the Genin-level ninja as they entered the Ninja Academy. All kinds of different villages showed on everyone's headband. Nearby, a squad consisting of grass ninja glared at my team of "fresh out of the academy" leaf ninja. I couldn't help but feel a little nervous. Today was the day of the Chunin Exams.
     My name is Asamaru Nara and if you couldn't tell from the name, I am of the Nara clan. Along with my teammates, Kanari Hyuga and Inuzuma Yamanaka, we make up Team 7. Our sensei, Kakashi, recommended we took this exam even though we are just a bunch of rookies. On the flip side, it's always exciting to see what the other ninja from other villages are like. It kind of gives me somewhat of an adrenaline overdose, but in a good way.
     As my team and I entered the academy, where we had trained to become Genin most of our lives so far, it seemed so much different with all the different types of shinobi. To the left was a group of rain ninja, carrying some sort of umbrellas on their backs and to the right were sand ninja with a menacing expression on their faces. I felt really out of place, but then again, I'm pretty sure almost everyone else felt the same way.
     "Kanari, do you see Room 301 anywhere?" I asked her.
     "I can't really tell with all these ninja running around." She replied.
     "I'm pretty sure it will be a piece of cake to find it with your Byakugan." Inuzuma snickered.
     "Why do you always have to be so annoying with your stupid comments nobody cares about?" Kanari face filled with red, as she yelled at him.
Kanari and Inuzuma really don't get along very well and they really haven't told me why. Though, I think it had something to do with their fathers getting into fights constantly when they were Genin. I don't understand why they just don't get over it and let the feud between their parents stay between them. But for the meantime, I'm just going to have to deal with the squabbles until the exams are over and I'm off doing missions as a Chunin.
     "Guys, come on," I added, "if we want to pass the Chunin Exams then we are going to have settle our differences and work as a team, so we can actually have a chance of getting through this." I explained to the both of them.
     They both turned and looked at me.
     "Well can you tell him to stop being such a nuisance?" She huffed, pointing to Inuzuma.
     "I'm the nuisance?" He continued, "All I did was tell you to use your Byakugan to find the room!"
     "Oh, so you think you can tell me what to do!" Kanari huffed again.
     "No that's not-"
     "Hey, could you guys keep it down a bit?" An unfamiliar voice requested.
     Team 7 turned around a saw a waterfall ninja, who looked about a year older than us and slightly taller than me. He walked over towards us and began to whisper to us.
     "Do any of you realize how loud you are?" He said.
     Kanari, Inuzuma, and I all looked at each other and then looked around the hallway. Intimidating glares beamed at us and I can feel everybody glaring from all directions.
